As we say goodbye to winter and welcome the month of March, now is the perfect time to clean, revamp and organise your home. We did just that and the Wilson Fink Radlett showroom has been updated too so we are full of expertise on how to remodel your kitchen too. We are focussing on open plan kitchens, de-cluttering and splashes of seasonal colour this month, and here are the latest spring kitchen trends to inspire you.

This spring, expect to see lots of bright colours and patterns in our designs. Whether it’s a complete change to your kitchen layout, or just a small update using new accessories, colour brings the wow factor. You can breathe life into a bare white kitchen with eye-popping colours and vivid shapes. We can add colour in the most innovative of ways, and satisfy your colour craving with worktops, splash backs, modern lighting, barstools and appliances. Expect to see lots of mustard yellow and grey as well as lots of green.

What identifies spring more than plants and flowers? If you are brave you can opt for botanical patterns on your walls and Wilson Fink can design and fit units in bold colours. If this isn’t for you, and you want something a little less daring, opt for pale grey units and invest in some plants to add the fresh springtime look to your plan.

Kitchens have developed into the heart of the home, and today’s trend is all about having enough space to cook, eat, entertain and relax. Open-plan kitchens create a light and airy space to do this and the first part of the design focus we take into account when planning, is how the natural light enters the room as well as the space available.

If you have a large area to work with, building a kitchen island makes your room look bigger and adds extra functionality as well as a feature / talking point. At Wilson Fink, we understand that not everybody has lots of space to play around with.

To make a room seem bigger you can de-clutter your kitchen tops and there are many clever ways to maximise on worktop space. For example, store your appliances in specific cupboards and drawers and keep cookbooks and chopping boards in clever cabinet shelving. Another tip for decluttering, opt for units without handles, push once and the door glides open.
